Sarah Betteridge
Physiotherapist focussing on Shoulders

We look forward to welcoming Sarah to the Port Hills Physio+Pilates team in August 2022. Sarah is a highly qualified Physiotherapist and will be seeing Shoulder conditions only. Sarah trained in England qualifying in 2001 and moved to New Zealand in 2011. She completed her Masters studies at the University of Otago in 2019. In 2020 she completed a two year internship with Dr Angela Cadogan (registered physiotherapy specialist in shoulders).
Sarah sits on the executive committee of the NZ Manipulative Physiotherapists Association. She also teaches the shoulder component of the NZMPA courses for physiotherapists. Sarah provides expert opinion to the Health and Disability Commission and is a competency reviewer for physiotherapy New Zealand. She published research on the use of steroid injection in shoulder bursitis early this year. Sarah also works in a diagnostic role with shoulder specialist Mr. Alex Malone at St Georges Hospital.

Sarah has a broad musculoskeletal background, but her area of expertise is in shoulder problems. In clinic you will find Sarah is passionate about listening to what you need. By ensuring you are given comprehensive information, you will be able to make informed choices together on the best treatment for you to achieve your goals. Sarah will provide you with information and advice, exercises and hands on treatment as needed.

Outside of the clinic Sarah enjoys running, open water swimming and adventure races. She is outside exploring our beautiful country with her family as much as she possibly can.
